The first Saint James tennis team was formed in 1973, sponsored entirely by parents of several of the players.
Several more teams participated, but team play was
suspended from 1979 until 1981.
Both boys and girls teams were revived in 1982.
Now tennis is
a premier sport at Saint James, as evidenced by the campus
Tennis Complex where construction was completed in the
spring of 2001.
