2-28-14  SAINT JAMES 2, @ Dothan 1


The Saint James Trojans varsity boys (5-1-1) defeated Dothan High School 2 - 1 at Westgate Park in Dothan.  Farris Abdulla scored first for Saint James in the 32nd minute while the Trojan defense held Dothan scoreless in the first half.  Joshua Bighems scored Dothan's only goal in the fifth minute of the second half and Ben Olree scored what would end up being the game winning goal in the twelfth minute of the second half on a follow up to his own penalty kick seconds earlier.  The Trojans took an overwhelming 31 shots with 21 on goal while Dothan had 10 shots with 3 on goal.  Saint James' DeShaun Lewis had the win with two saves and one goal allowed.  Dothan's Jose Trejo had 19 saves with two goals allowed.

For his tireless defensive effort, Coach Thomas named J.T. Peifer the Saint James Man of the Match
