The Saint James Trojans (5-4-1, 0-2) finished their second match in area play with a loss to Alabama Christian Academy (3-1-1, 1-0). As in their previous match, the first half turned into a defensive battle with neither team scoring. Saint James had took nine shots with five shots on goal and Alabama Christian attempted four shots with three on goal in the first half.
The match continued to be a defensive battle until Alexander Stroud broke free for ACA and scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute. Saint James was not able to capitalize on any of their six shots during the second half and the match ended with ACA winning 1 – 0.
Saint James ended the day with 15 shots, ten on goal, while ACA had 11 shots with seven on goal. Deshaun Lewis had six saves with one allowed, and ACA’s Hunter Mote had ten saves. Saint James had six corner kicks to ACA’s one. Tristan Elmore and Deshaun Lewis were both named Man of the Match.
