For the second time in school history, Saint James advanced to a fourteenth game in search of a second consecutive state championship appearance, and the locale was the same as the previous year, Harrison Field on the campus of Mobile Christian.  Despite smashing the school record for first downs in a game (30), K.J. Jackson rushing for a career high 177 yards and further breaking virtually all Saint James quarterback records, five turnovers were not enough to overcome, even in a valiant fourth quarter try, as the Leopards defeated the Trojans 34 - 30 on their way to a state championship.
