In a game which was scheduled not too long before the beginning of the season in order to fill a potential open week for both teams, Saint James faced off against Zion Chapel for the first time in varsity football and came back home defeated by the Rebels 26 - 14.

Jeremy Till scored two first quarter touchdowns and rushed for 103 yards.  Roy Stewart rushed for 130 yards and two fourth quarter touchdowns to erase a two point Trojans lead.  Cade Armstrong and Hunter Pappas scored the two mid-game touchdowns for the Trojans to overcome the early 12 point Rebel lead.  Andy Roberson converted both extra points for Saint James.  Zion Chapel did not have a place kicker, so they attempted four two point conversions and were successful on only the final one.
