Catholic kicker
Matt Cazalet, who missed a potential game-winning extra point
late in the fourth quarter of regulation, kicked a 22 yard field
goal in the first overtime period allowing the Knights to escape
with a come-from-behind 9 - 6 win over the floundering Saint
James Trojans at their Homecoming 1991.
Limited
information is available on the game. The scorer and time
of the Trojan touchdown is unavailable. Saint James was on
offense first in the overtime period but failed to convert from
ten yards out in the four plays allotted. Catholic
advanced to the five yard line in two plays before Cazalet was
called on to kick the winning field goal on third down.
The 1991 Trojan season ended with a 1 - 8 overall record, and a
disappointing seven game losing streak. The final game
originally scheduled against Saint Jude was not played because
the Pirates opted not to field a team in 1991 after a very low
attendance at August practice.
