Field. Game conditions: not yet available
Saint James sought
and obtained revenge for their defeat to the crosstown Eagles
in 1984 which ended a long Trojan winning streak.
Hamp Greene, with
an injured shoulder and thus limited to only place kicking
duties, left the Eagles with minimal offensive threats.
The Trojans totalled 156 rushing yards on 40 carries, 128 of
those on the 26 carries of Redding, whose two second half
three-yard touchdown runs sealed the city victory. Jody
Ortega caught another touchdown pass from Jeff Stevenson, the
first score of the game in the second quarter.
