Collier Field. Game conditions: not yet available
The Trinity
Wildcats attempted only two passes in the entire game. One
was intercepted by Saint James, but the last minute bomb down the
Trinity sidelines from Brent Cook to John Massey was thrown just
over several defenders at midfield where Massey collected the toss
and darted toward the endzone in a last minute shocker. Both
teams were otherwise completely focused on the ground game,
although neither could generate a scoring drive until late in the
game. Johnny Redding did rush for 163 yards on 23
carries, and Saint James outrushed Trinity 195 to 144, but it was
all for naught thanks to the Wildcats' last minute magic.
