SCORING SUMMARY  (not available by quarter)

October 26, 1984.  Collier Field.  HOMECOMING  Game conditions:  not yet available

Saint James celebrated Homecoming 1984 in grand style by clinching the 1A Area 9 Championship with their biggest points-wise defeat ever, a 62 - 6 thumping of the Marbury Bulldogs.  Only several years ago, Marbury was on the victorious side of a 60 - 0 thrashing of the Trojans.

Johnny Redding scored five touchdowns, three of them rushing,
another on an 18 yard pass reception from Ben Gross, and yet another on a 55 yard punt return.  Jeff Stevenson was also responsible for three touchdowns, scoring on a 24 yard interception return and an 18 yard pass reception from Gross, and, as the backup quarterback, throwing his first touchdown pass since early in the season, an eight yarder to Andy Johnson.  Tommy Aplin added a 33 yard run for the ninth touchdown, and Johnson broke a school record, one of several set in this game, with 8 extra points in 9 attempts.  Marbury scored against the substitutes with 42 seconds left in the game on a three yard touchdown run.  Johnny Redding's 144 yards rushing on only 8 carries pushed him further over the 1000 mark, with 1156 yards on the season.  Kelly McGhee added 120 yards rushing despite not joining in as part of the Trojan scoring parade.
