Mike Johnson scored a school record five rushing touchdowns on only ten carries (for a total of 110 yards), Jody Ortega scored two touchdowns on a four yard run and a nine yard interception return, and Johnny Redding added a thirty yard rushing touchdown as Saint James cruised to a 54 - 6 season-opening victory over the visiting Blue Devils.  The only score for Hayneville was a 79 yard kickoff return by Barry Wilson to start the second half.  Johnson's TD runs were of 26, 1, 3, 4, and 4 yards.
