November 4, 1977. Catholic
Field.
In a game where both teams were most likely thankful the season
would be over afterwards, Saint James ended their eight game
losing streak, and extended the Eagles' losing streak to seventeen
games over the better part of two seasons, with a 12 - 0 win to
conclude the season at home. Mark Fowler and Vic Vickery
provided a majority of the offense, as Fowler rushed 11 times for
112 yards and Vickery 16 times for 103 yards, each scoring a long
touchdown in the process. Richard Sheckley led the way for
the defense with two interceptions as the Trojans created and
protected their own shutout of an opponent to end a frustrating
season on a positive note.
