November 5, 1976.

Sandy Andrews' interception and return to the Eagle 35 with nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter set up the Trojans in a come-from-behind victory reminiscent of their opening game heroics.  On the first play of the drive, Bruce May rushed for 30 yards, and three plays later, Robert Kelly powered in from the two to give the Trojans the lead and eventual victory.

May led a balanced rushing attack with 83 yards on 18 carries.  Kelly added 52 yards on six carries, and freshman Mike Beavers, up with the varsity team for the second week, added 44 yards on six carries.  The Trojan defense recovered two costly Eagle fumbles in the last six minutes of the game to preserve the win against their inner-city
rival, and Saint James concluded its fourth varsity season of football competition with a 5 - 5 record.
