James Bryant returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown on the fourth play of the game, unofficially the longest punt returned for a touchdown against the Trojans, as the Flying Squadron scored two first quarter touchdowns and glided (heh) to a 20 - 6 victory over Saint James.

Ronnie Sankey, known to Squadron fans as "The Vanishing Viper" because of the way he would disappear into defensive lines and pop out for long runs, added a 13 yard touchdown run on the second Highland Home drive of the game after a lost Saint James fumble.  Later, in the second quarter, teammate Hal Owens broke four tackles on his way to a 26 yard touchdown which, coupled with a pair of extra point kicks by David Jones, would be more than enough scoring for Highland Home.

Late in the game, Saint James did drive 64 yards, mostly through the air and against the Squadron reserves, for a touchdown.  The Trojans put up 138 yards of offense through the air, but could only manage four yards net rushing against the tough Squadron defense.
