The Lyman Ward
Rangers spoiled Homecoming 1975 for the Trojans with a quite
impressive and rather surprising 21 - 0 shutout. The
Rangers outrushed the injury-riddled Trojans 261 to 56 yards.
Lyman Ward also had two long touchdown runs (43 and 60
yards) nullified by penalties. The Trojans threatened
twice, getting as deep as the Ranger four in the second quarter
before a wide field goal attempt, and as far as the Ranger
thirteen late in the game before fumbling away possession.
