Eagle Alan Bollinger was the first half offensive star of the game as he completed eight consecutive passes, scored on a quarterback sneak, and kicked a go-ahead first half field goal for Montgomery Academy. However, he only completed two second half passes, one for a short gain to a teammate and the other to Trojan Greg Henry just after the fourth quarter James Martin touchdown which had put Saint James back ahead. Henry added an insurance touchdown shortly thereafter for the intra-city win over Saint James' first true rival.
