After Saint James had built a comfortable first half 19 point lead, Westminster Christian started the third quarter with an almost immediate safety and a touchdown following the free kick to quickly cut the margin to eleven.  However, Wem Mellown's 30 yard touchdown reception put the finishing touches on a winning season, and for the first time seniors could celebrate their final game victory (as this was the first year Saint James School had true, graduating seniors).  Greg Henry led the way with 79 yards rushing; Mike Eley added 61, and Alan Spear connected on five of his nine pass attempts for 74 yards with a touchdown pass each to Eley and Bud Winn.
