In the second of two Saturday games on the second day of the Lady Trojans Tip Off Tournament, Saint James broke open a close game with a strong fourth quarter defeating the Tigers by 10 to wrap up the tournament, and start the 2020-21 season, with a 2 - 1 record.  K.K. Hall, after hitting 6 three pointers earlier in the day hit 4 more as part of her Trojan-high 18 points for a Saturday total of 10 triples.  Chelsey Craig added 12 points.   Straughn's Allie Kelley led all scorers with 19 of her own.

The Trojans actually trailed by a point, 28 - 27, after three quarters, but outscored Straughn 24 - 13 to seal the victory.  Free throws were important, as Saint James converted 11 of 14 (79%) in the fourth quarter, and 15 of 21 for the entire game.  Hannah Grace Griggs hit all 6 of her fourth quarter free throw attempts to keep the Tigers at bay late in the game.
