Taylor Nelson's tip in of a missed shot with 2.6 seconds remaining gave the Trojans a 2 point victory over the
Eagles and a 4-0 season start for the first time in recent memory.  The first and fourth quarters were offensive
sprees and the second and third quarters were defensively controlled.  The Trojans never trailed until the Eagles
scored the last 9 points of the first half and negated a 6 point lead, taking a 3 point lead into the half themselves.
An Adam Mills three point bucket tied the game early in the third quarter, and the game seesawed thereafter.
Eagle Robert Mooty connected on a halfcourt bank shot at the third quarter buzzer to tie the game at 36 all.
A Taylor Nelson field goal gave the Trojans a 45-44 lead with just under three minutes remaining in the game.
The lead would stay the Trojans' until Mooty hit a second three point field goal under intense duress with only
11.3 seconds remaining, tieing the score at 53.  A St. James time out set up the play for Chris Roberts to take the
ball to the basket.  After his shot dribbled off the rim, Nelson banked in the put back.  Clay Steineker's
desperation three point basket at the final buzzer went off the backboard and front rim to preserve a hard fought
game with very few fouls - only 19 were commited the entire game.

St. James never trailed after the Lady Eagles scored the first basket of the game, and thanks in great part to
Elizabeth Richards' 14 second half points, including 7 of 9 from the free throw line, held Montgomery Academy
at bay.  Molly Buss' three point shot at the buzzer narrowed the Trojan lead to two, but the margin was never
closer in the fourth quarter.  The Lady Eagles' prowess at the free throw line kept them in the game, as they made
16 of their 22 freethrow attempts.

The Lady Trojan Junior Varsity finally picked up a well-deserved first win of the season, beating the Lady Eagles
who had beaten them in overtime earlier in the season.  The game was a defensive affair, with only 25 points scored
between the two teams in the first three quarters.  Kelly Michelle Lewis scored 8 of the 12 St. James first half points.
St. James held Montgomery Academy to five field goals for the game.  Anna Harris, leading scorer off the bench for
the Lady Eagles, scored her five points in the second half on freethrows.  The Lady Trojans never trailed, and the
score was never tied after the 2-2 mark.
